FAQs
Q1. What is PMI Consulting Limited?
We spend time examining your work flow and business processes and advise in which areas, we believe, restructuring work patterns, retraining key personnel and improvements in electronic document management would benefit your business enabling you to work more efficiently. We also consider your risk factors with regard to Business Continuity should any number of types of disaster occur which causes loss of or damage to your business.
Q2. How long does it take to do this?
It depends on the size of the organisation and how many departments and personnel are involved. From experience, it can take anything from three days to 10 days.
Q3. What do we need to do prior to your visit?
Ideally, we like to have a program for the day which sets out a timetable of meetings with key personnel such as team leaders or line managers. We supply questionnaire templates in advance to allow staff to prepare the relevant information we require for each session. We then discuss their areas of responsibility and how tasks are currently performed. We also need to do some ‘floor walking’ in order to experience, first hand, individuals’ activities, particularly the way paperwork (both physical and electronic) from creation to elimination is handled.
Q4. What happens after your visit?
We evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the existing business processes in achieving the desired outcomes especially in servicing your clients and distribution channels around the world. This includes dealers, agents as well as subsidiaries. We put together a report of our findings and our recommendations for any changes in the way you work. This would highlight the areas where some form of Document Management such as storing documents electronically might be appropriate, Workflow or Form Recognition might also be of benefit. There are cases, however, when simple off site storage would be a more financially viable solution and would also mitigate your risk factor. We like to think we are entirely honest in our assessment and always advise on the most practical solution.
Q5. How much does PMI charge for this service?
PMI charge on a day rate and on a project by project basis. The cost includes our time spent at your premises and a comprehensive report and recommendations. To enquire about our current fees, please call us on 0845 500 6505 or email: info@pmi-consult.com
